PROJECT / CLIENT DESCRIPTION
Catholic youth institute (Katoliška mladina) implements projects of national importance, their own programs and projects for young people. They are the leading Slovenian catholic organization regarding the number of young people that attend their programs and follow them on social media.
MY ROLE – art direction, rebranding, web design, motion design
CHALLENGE, PROCESS
& SOLUTION
The logotype originates from the historical fact of fish being a symbol of the first Christians. Together with the selected colour palette, the logo conveys a message that the organization is youthful yet traditional. Graphics are used as a key visual of the projects and are recognizable amongst the user groups.
The website responds to users needs and is minimalistic, easy to use and timeless. Because of the various user groups (young people, their parents and grandparents), the structure is straightforward and the design is technical, neutral and eye-pleasing.
In the past 3 years, I designed many campaigns and projects for the organization and have grown professionally as a designer and spiritually as a human being. The organization’s visual presence was set to the next level and is recognised in the public.
WHAT I LEARNED &
SKILLS I GAINED
It was my first big project where I was the main graphic and web designer. Through the process, I started to understand the meaning of branding, learned to use WordPress and Elementor, I was always on a hunt for new design and content ideas. This project represents a breaking point in my professional development – I gained lots of interest on web design.
OTHER DESIGNS
Besides visual identity and web design, I created lots of other works for events, books, posters, social media, merch, etc.
